Emergency Room Nurse

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Emergency Room Nurse to join our clinical team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to a diverse patient population in a fast-paced emergency department environment.

Deliver exceptional patient care in accordance with established nursing standards and protocols.

Conduct assessments and provide patient education.

Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.

Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement effective care plans.

Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient information.

Participate in departmental initiatives and quality improvement activities.

Adhere to safety and infection control policies.

Perform triage and manage emergency situations appropriately.

Minimum of 2 years of emergency nursing experience.

Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, ENPC, NRP, and NIHSS certifications.

Proficiency in handling common emergency diagnoses, including abdominal pain, chest pain, fever, cough, dyspnea, headaches, and injuries.

Ability to manage common drips such as cardiac, antihypertensive, antiarrhythmic, sedation, and analgesia.

Experience with NIHSS and TNCC protocols is required.

Strong critical thinking and communication skills.

This position is located in a Level III Emergency Department with a total of 15 beds and 2 trauma bays. The department features a dedicated area for triage and seclusion rooms for psychiatric patients. Security is on-site 24/7 to ensure a safe working environment.

Shift length: 12 hours.

Guaranteed hours: 36 hours per week.

Self-scheduling and block scheduling options are available.

Full and part-time employees are expected to self-schedule for a minimum of six weekend shifts within a six-week period.

Holiday scheduling will also be required.

Employees are required to adhere to the navy blue dress code.

New hires are expected to attend orientation during their first week of employment, where specific unit orientation details will be assigned.
