Job Description

LRS Consulting Services is seeking a Senior Tableau Solutions Architect who enjoys transforming complex data into meaningful insights, establishing enterprise analytics standards, and driving technology strategy across large-scale environments. This hybrid direct-hire opportunity offers the chance to provide architectural leadership for Tableau solutions while partnering with government stakeholders, engineers, cybersecurity teams, and business leaders to deliver secure, scalable, and maintainable analytics platforms.

Location: Washington, DC (Hybrid - 1 day per week onsite)

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain the target architecture, technical standards, platform roadmaps, integration patterns, and governance strategies for enterprise Tableau solutions.
• Design, configure, develop, integrate, test, document, and support Tableau capabilities using Tableau Desktop, Tableau Server/Cloud, Tableau Prep, published data sources, extracts, subscriptions, and governed analytics practices.
• Create executive-ready dashboards, governed data sources, permissions models, performance-optimized workbooks, and reusable reporting assets.
• Translate business, mission, security, accessibility, and operational requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Support architecture reviews, backlog refinement, implementation planning, release readiness activities, and production transitions.
• Develop reusable patterns, technical standards, automation, documentation, and operational procedures that improve platform stability and reduce technical debt.
• Troubleshoot complex issues involving platform configuration, data integrations, APIs, security, identity management, performance, and user experience.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity, privacy, infrastructure, QA, operations, and business teams to ensure solutions align with organizational and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain technical documentation, architecture decisions, implementation guides, operational runbooks, testing evidence, and support procedures.
• Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance to development, analytics, and platform teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Data Analytics, Cybersecurity, or a related field preferred.
• 8+ years of experience in technical leadership, solution architecture, platform architecture, or enterprise analytics environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with Tableau implementation, configuration, development, integration, administration, and lifecycle management.
• Experience designing secure, scalable, supportable, and upgrade-friendly Tableau solutions that minimize customization and reduce technical debt.
• Expertise with Tableau Desktop, Tableau Server or Tableau Cloud, Tableau Prep, data sources, extracts, permissions, subscriptions, and performance optimization.
• Experience working with APIs, identity and access management, data management, testing, monitoring, troubleshooting, and release coordination.
• Ability to create clear technical designs, architecture documentation, operational procedures, test results, implementation plans, and risk assessments.
• Experience working in Agile environments and translating stakeholder requirements into maintainable technical solutions.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across product, engineering, QA, cybersecurity, operations, and government stakeholder groups.
• Ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal.

Preferred Qualifications

• Tableau Desktop Specialist, Certified Data Analyst, Server Certified Associate, Salesforce/Tableau certification, or similar analytics credentials.
• Experience supporting federal government, Public Trust, or other highly regulated environments.
• Experience with Section 508 accessibility requirements, cybersecurity standards, auditability requirements, and operational governance.
• Experience with DevSecOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, Infrastructure as Code, or platform release automation.
• Knowledge of federal security and compliance frameworks including NIST, FISMA, FedRAMP, audit controls, and least-privilege access models.
• Experience improving platform governance, operational readiness, observability, documentation standards, and solution reuse.
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365, ServiceNow, Atlassian products, Snowflake, CRM platforms, data catalogs, and enterprise integration ecosystems.

The base salary range for this direct-hire position is $150,000 - $250,000 annually, depending on experience. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires across all U.S. locations. Individual compensation is determined by location, experience, skills, certifications, and other job-related factors.
