Job Summary and Qualifications

Clinical Nurse Coordinator

Under the general supervision of the unit director, the Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all functions within the unit during assigned shifts. This role involves collaboration with other management team members to continuously assess the quality of patient care services delivered in the unit.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess, monitor, document, report, and follow up on any symptoms or changes in patients' conditions.

• Create and maintain precise, detailed reports and records.

• Consult and collaborate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and adjust the care plan based on patient responses and conditions.

• Delegate nursing tasks appropriately and safely while retaining accountability for patient care.

• Provide personalized education for patients, families, and caregivers throughout the care continuum.

• Adhere to safety and infection control standards in delivering patient care.

Qualifications:

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program.

• Current RN licensure from the Tennessee Board of Nursing or a compact state.

• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
