Maintenance Coordinator

Job Summary

We are seeking a Maintenance Coordinator for a full-time, temp-to-hire opportunity in Goleta, CA. This role is ideal for a highly organized professional with experience in maintenance coordination, property management, facilities support, construction administration, dispatch, or a related service operations environment.

The Maintenance Coordinator will help manage maintenance requests from intake through completion, ensuring work orders are prioritized, scheduled, documented, and approved for billing. This position offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with supportive leadership, clear processes, and daily collaboration with technicians, vendors, residents, customers, and internal operations staff.

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate maintenance requests from intake through completion, including scheduling, follow-up, documentation, and billing readiness.
- Answer calls and monitor requests received by phone, email, voicemail, and online systems.
- Prioritize urgent and routine work orders, assign jobs to technicians and vendors, and monitor open work orders for timely completion.
- Review completed work for accuracy, including labor, materials, notes, photos, and required documentation.
- Respond to vendor, resident, and customer questions while resolving service issues and escalations.
- Provide daily direction, workload coordination, and training support to a Maintenance Operations Assistant.

Compensation and Benefits

- Pay: $27.00 to $31.00 per hour.
- Job type: Temp-to-hire.
- Schedule: Full-time, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM.
- Location: Goleta, CA.
- On-call rotation and occasional overtime may be required.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Coordinate maintenance work orders from request intake through completion and billing approval.
- Schedule technicians and vendors while prioritizing urgent and routine service needs.
- Monitor open work orders, resolve service issues, and ensure accurate documentation.
- Support daily maintenance operations, reporting, access records, and inventory needs.

- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience preferred in maintenance coordination, property management, facilities, construction administration, dispatch, or a related field.
- Strong organization, prioritization, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced service environment.
- Strong computer and data-entry skills.
- Experience using work-order systems or property management software preferred.
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work occasional overtime or on-call shifts as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

- Supervisory or team-lead experience.
- AppFolio experience.
- Bilingual English/Spanish skills.
