Location: Salem, VA
Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule: 19:00 - 07:00, rotating weekend shifts (3, 12-hour shifts per week)
Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will provide essential respiratory care to a diverse patient population in a fast-paced healthcare setting. The Respiratory Therapist will be responsible for carrying out various therapies and assessments to ensure optimal patient health outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Administer basic floor therapies including Nebulization Treatment, CPT, and Nocturnal Pulse Oximetry
- Obtain Arterial Blood Gases (ABG)
- Perform Bipap Management and Ventilator management
- Execute extubation procedures as needed
- Participate in patient care for floating areas including CICU, SICU, MICU, and step-down units
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:
- Current BLS certification
- Experience with Bipap and Ventilator management preferred
- ICU experience is highly desirable
