Operations Team Member (2nd shift)

Job Overview Pay Rate: $19-$21/hr (based on experience) Work Hours: Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri 12pm-10:30pm Location: Pet Angel Memorial Center, 744 Freeland Station Rd, Nashville, TN 37228 The Operations Team Member reports to the Operations Care Center Manager and is responsible for operating the retort, creating and packaging paw prints, engraving plaques and memorial items, and processing and packaging cremated remains. The role is performed within a close‑knit care‑center team. Duties & Responsibilities Perform daily duties such as operating the retort, creating and packaging paw prints, engraving plaques and memorial items, conducting quality control, and processing and packaging cremated remains or other tasks as required by the Team Member. Maintain daily cremation goals while emphasizing compassion and excellence. Monitor equipment to ensure proper operation, adjust settings as needed, and submit maintenance requests. Perform basic cleaning and housekeeping activities, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting. Clean and maintain equipment used in cremation procedures, such as machines that grind bones into powder. Follow safety procedures to protect yourself and others from exposure to hazardous materials or dust particles. Perform other duties as assigned. Education, Training & Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 12 months experience in a service industry. Valid driver license may be required. Working Conditions Regular bending, stooping, crouching, kneeling, sitting, repetitive motion, and hand/wrist/finger motion. Regular lifting/moving of 100+ lbs. Regular exposure to elevated noise levels. Regular exposure to elevated heat levels. Regular handling of deceased pets.
