EKG Technician - As Needed

Make a real impact in patient care. Join our dedicated Cardiopulmonary Services team as an EKG Technician, where your precision and compassion help drive accurate diagnoses and better outcomes. This role blends hands-on patient interaction with technical expertise in cardiac testing.

What You'll Do:

• Perform electrocardiograms (EKGs) across various hospital locations
• Conduct cardiac stress tests following physician protocols
• Ensure accurate electrode placement and artifact-free tracings
• Maintain and document emergency equipment functionality
• Prepare patients for testing and communicate any physical limitations
• Operate EHR systems to enter and retrieve patient data
• Collaborate with clinical teams and report equipment issues promptly
• Support infection control and universal precautions consistently

What We're Looking For:

• High school diploma or GED required
• Prior EKG Technician experience preferred
• Current BLS (CPR) certification required
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols
• Knowledge of medical terminology a plus
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Physical & Mental Demands:

This role requires frequent standing, walking, and lifting (up to 50 lbs.), along with sustained attention to detail and clear communication. You'll be working in clinical environments with potential exposure to bodily fluids and medical equipment.
