Payroll Specialist

Job Description Schedule: Mon-Fri; 8am-5pm Onsite Location: Greenville, SC Pay Range: $17/hr – $19/hr As a Payroll Specialist, you will assist in the processing of payroll for our biweekly and monthly pay groups in Workday. This role involves communicating compensation‑related information for budgeting and planning, addressing payroll tax compliance matters, resolving benefits reconciliation issues, troubleshooting Workday configuration, and supporting the W‑2/payroll year‑end close process. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Assist in the preparation of payroll in Workday for employees paid on biweekly and monthly frequencies. Enter and maintain OnDemand payroll records upon management approval. Serve as the main point of contact for payroll and troubleshoot payroll‑related issues impacting employees, including non‑payments and pay discrepancies. Perform data entry tasks related to payroll and benefits. Follow up on withholding orders and other non‑tax correspondence received from government authorities. Provide ad hoc payroll reporting and other documentation to Finance, HR, and authorized parties. Audit payroll data to ensure accuracy. Communicate and work with third‑party payroll partners as needed. Execute additional responsibilities assigned by management. Education, Training and Experience Associate degree in business administration or related business major (required). Minimum of two years of payroll experience (preferred). Experience providing quality customer service (required). Proficient in Microsoft Office. Experience with Workday Payroll software (preferred).
