Pay as Cross Country posts it: about $2,155 a week in all, a taxable rate of $22.21 an hour plus $1,267 a week in housing and meal stipends.

Job Summary

A Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT) position is available in a healthcare setting. This role involves performing a variety of laboratory tests and procedures, including chemistry, microbiology, and specimen processing, to support patient diagnosis and treatment. The position requires active collaboration with physicians and interdepartmental staff to ensure accurate and timely results.

Job Details

• Position Description: Perform a range of laboratory techniques including chemistry (Beckman Coulter AU, DXI, DXA, Diasorin, Remisol, manual chemistry assays), microbiology (PCRs, micro setups, blood culture identification, gram stain), and specimen processing.
• Required Qualifications: Certified Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) via American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP), BLS Certification (AHA), minimum 2 years of laboratory experience, active license to submit.
• Schedule: Rotating shifts, including evenings and some nights, from 1:30 PM to 10:00 PM and 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM; 8 hours per shift; minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Additional Information: Efficiently manages multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrates active listening, clear communication, and high accuracy. Punctuality and ability to manage interruptions are essential. Familiarity with LIS systems (Sunquest/Clinysis) and EMR (EPIC).
