Emergency Department Nurse

Location: North Adams, MA

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: 12-hour day shifts available: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM and/or 11:00 AM - 11:30 PM. Must be available to work either shift as needed.

Job Description: The Emergency Department Nurse will provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the emergency department setting. Responsibilities include assessing patient needs, administering medications, and collaborating with physicians and healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Assessing and monitoring patients' conditions in the emergency department.
• Administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure patient care standards are met.
• Providing education and support to patients and their families.
• Maintaining accurate patient records and documentation.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 2 years of recent Emergency Department nursing experience
• Completion of Basic Dysrhythmia course (strongly required)
• Current Massachusetts RN License
• Active American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications
• Meditech Expanse experience preferred
• Must have reliable transportation
