The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.
Job Overview:
To provide a specialized image of a body part for purposes of medical interpretation.
Qualifications:
Required:
- ARRT Certification in Radiation Technology required.
- NJ radiology license required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
Preferred:
- Minimum of two (2) years of radiology technician experience strongly preferred.
Essential Functions :
Responsible for:
- Providing radiographic images or positioning fluoroscopic equipment, as instructed.
- Minimization of radiation exposure.
- Ensuring patient comfort.
- Selection and preparation of any contrast media used in conjunction with radiographic examinations as well as special examinations.
- Processing radiographic images going to PACS.
- Patient identification and indication of correct body part on all radiographic images.
- Processing x-ray requests.
- Assists in instruction of student technologists.
- Is able to demonstrate the technical art to student radiographers.
