Registered Nurse (RN) - ICU

Location Charlotte Hungerford Hospital (10115) – a 122‑bed general acute care community hospital located in Torrington, Connecticut. It serves as a regional health care resource for the 100,000 residents of Litchfield County and Northwest Connecticut. Overview As part of Hartford HealthCare’s network, the ICU is a 10‑bed unit caring for complex medical and surgical patients, including respiratory failure, sepsis, drug and alcohol withdrawal, liver and kidney injury/failure, gastrointestinal bleeding, and post‑op complications. We support patients requiring mechanical ventilation and NIPPV, continuously monitoring blood pressure via arterial lines, cardiac output, capnography, and oximetry. Our team includes Intensivists, Clinical Leaders, RNs, and multi‑skilled techs working together efficiently in a supportive environment to provide high‑quality, compassionate care. Responsibilities Provide critical support to ICU patients, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and coordinating care with medical and clinical leadership. Work within a multidisciplinary team to deliver high‑quality, compassionate care. Qualifications Active Connecticut RN license required prior to start date. Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
