Job Description:

InGenesis currently seeks a full time Labor & Delivery (L&D) Registered Nurse to provide services to our military and their families at General Leonard Wood Army Community Hospital. This position offers applicants a great opportunity to gain valuable work experience while serving our military.


Job Functions:
• Provides specialized and comprehensive antepartum, intrapartum and postpartum nursing care to obstetric patients.
• Formulates a nursing plan of care.
• As appropriate, assumes circulation role in the operating room for scheduled and emergent cesarean-sections and cesarean-hysterectomy.
• Assists physicians and anesthesia providers with complex procedures.
• Provides newborn assessments and care.
• Maintains accurate, current, and complete nursing records.
• Obtains capillary and venous laboratory samples.


Qualifications:
• Current unrestricted RN license in any of the 50 US and/or its territories
• Basic Life Support-American Heart Association-Healthcare Provider (BLS), Advance Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), AND Pediatric Life Support (PALS)
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) by the American Academy of Pediatrics
• 12 months of experience within the last 36 months as a qualified in-patient Obstetrical Nurse: Nursery, L&D, and Post-Partum.
• Intermediate Fetal Heart Monitoring Certification
• STABLE Certification (Sugar, Temperature, Airway, Blood Pressure, Lab Work, Emotional Support)
• ALSO (Advanced Life Support Obstetrics) OR ECO Certification (Emergencies in Clinical Obstetrics)
