Veterinary Technician

Overview We are seeking a dedicated Veterinary Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in providing quality care for animals and support the daily operations of our veterinary practice. Duties Assist veterinarians in routine examinations and surgical procedures Perform laboratory tests such as urinalysis and blood counts Administer medications and vaccines under veterinarian supervision Radiology, including dental. Maintain accurate records of patient treatments and progress Provide compassionate care to animals in distress Monitor anesthesia during surgical procedures Exposure and handling of exotic animals (not avian) Experience and competency performing dental prophylaxis Qualifications Certification as a Veterinary Technician or Vet Tech experience Proficiency in dog handling, pet care, and veterinary procedures Knowledge of aseptic techniques and animal anatomy Familiarity with X-ray procedures Experience in animal handling Understanding of animal physiology Prior knowledge of Avimark operating system is a plus Experience with exotics is a plus Joining our team offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where you can make a difference in the lives of animals every day.
