Travel Nursing Job Details Specialty: Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Registered Nurse Unit: Pre-/Post-Operative Surgery Employment Type: 13-week travel nursing contract Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin Start Date: October 19, 2026 Assignment End Date: January 16, 2027 Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,250–$2,370 Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week Shift: 8-hour daytime shifts, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM Call Requirements: Approximately one weekend of call every 6–7 weeks and one weeknight of call approximately every other week; holiday call rotation may apply Charting: Epic Work Setting: On-site PACU Registered Nurse Job Requirements At least 2 years of recent PACU nursing experience Active Wisconsin RN license or compact RN license Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross Current ACLS certification Current PALS certification Associate degree or nursing certificate Previous Epic charting experience preferred Strong time-management, communication, and organizational skills Dependable, accountable, resilient, compassionate, and adaptable approach to patient care PACU Travel RN Responsibilities Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients before and after surgical procedures and anesthesia Monitor patients’ airway, vital signs, pain, level of consciousness, and post-anesthesia recovery progress Recognize and respond promptly to post-anesthesia complications and changes in patient condition Administer medications and treatments safely according to orders and established protocols Prepare patients for discharge or transfer by confirming that appropriate recovery criteria have been met Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in Epic Collaborate with anesthesia providers, surgeons, perioperative nurses, and other members of the care team Participate in scheduled weekday, weekend, and holiday call coverage Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care while maintaining a positive and professional attitude Apply now for this PACU travel nurse opportunity in Rhinelander, Wisconsin, and bring your perioperative nursing expertise to a supportive surgical services team.
