Registered Nurse - Radiology

Job Summary:
The Interventional Radiology RN is responsible for providing specialized nursing care to patients undergoing interventional radiology procedures. This role involves collaborating with medical teams to ensure patient safety, comfort, and optimal outcomes during diagnostic and therapeutic interventions.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients' health status and determine their suitability for radiology procedures.
• Prepare and position patients for interventional procedures, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
• Monitor vital signs and patient responses during procedures, responding promptly to any emergencies.
• Maintain accurate documentation of procedures, patient observations, and care provided.
• Assist with setting up advanced imaging equipment such as GE C-Arms, Fluoro Towers, and portable units.
• Educate patients and families about procedures, post-care instructions, and potential risks.

Qualifications:

• Active registered nurse license and at least 1 year of clinical nursing experience.
• Certified in radiology nursing or echocardiography preferred.
• AART certification or experience with GE imaging equipment highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of radiologic procedures, patient safety, and emergency response.
• Capable of working independently and in a fast-paced environment.
