We are seeking a detail-oriented, Tuition and Financial Aid Coordinator to work in the Finance Office. The Tuition and Financial Aid Coordinator is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records relating to individual student tuition accounts, the timely deposit of all receipts, coordinating the financial aid process, and upholds the mission and philosophy of the school. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, a strong communicator, and capable of juggling multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Duties

• Serves as primary contact on a daily basis with students and parent/guardians relating to tuition and financial aid questions.
• Assists those situations where special financial arrangements must be established.
• Provides information relating to tuition and school policies to parents/guardians of prospective students.
• Prepares recommendations to the Chief Financial Officer relating to modified payment terms based on exceptional situations.
• Prepares and distributes accurate tuition statements to parents/guardians.
• Resolves parent/guardian questions relating to their tuition balance.
• Accepts student payments and responds to student questions relating to tuition.
• Prepares requests for tuition refunds.
• Monitors delinquent balances.
• Reconciles and deposits receipts.
• Maintains accurate financial records of all receipts and establishes an auditable trail of such transactions.
• Prepares monthly financial reports summarizing A/R entries to the general ledger.
• Acts as liaison with deposit bank.
• Provides the Chief Financial Officer with needed information for use in developing the revenue budgets and forecasts.
• Coordinate the financial aid process, including planning timeline, processing family applications and determining award amounts, and maintaining detailed listing of financial aid awards by student.
• Provide financial aid information as needed to school stakeholders.
• Handle financial aid appeals and questions from families, in consultation with the Chief Financial Officer.
• Maintain accurate records of scholarships by student and reconcile scholarship payments from external organizations into tuition billing system.

Education/Experience Required

• Bachelor's degree in Business or Accounting
• 3+ years of Accounts Receivable or relevant experience.
• Experience in a private high school or higher education environment is a major plus.
• Strong proficiency in computer software such as MS Office, Google Mail, Google Drive, etc.
• Experience in Blackbaud is a major plus.

We offer a competitive salary with a range of $50,000-75,000 commensurate with experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, life insurance, and a retirement plan.
