Associate Attorney

Associate AttorneyBuffalo Biodiesel is in growth mode and currently seeking an Associate Attorney to join our fast-growing team! You will have the opportunity to be mentored by a former Supreme Court Justice and State Senator!This position will consist mostly of drafting legal documents and other clerical work. General Counsel will handle most court work and appearances.Responsibilities:Draft settlements, default judgements, summons and complaints, etc.Maintain accurate records of all legal activities and communications.Limited court work based on necessity.Qualifications:Permitted to practice law in New York StateMust be admitted to NYS Bar Association (Dealbreaker)At least 2 years of legal drafting experience (Dealbreaker)Fluent understanding of electronic filing via NYSCEFExcellent LexisNexis skillsStrong legal writerFamiliarity with legal administrative processes and proceduresAbility to work independentlyThis role requires onsite work from 8:00am to 5:00pm. Our offices are located at 17 Court Street, Buffalo, NY 14202.Benefits:Salary: $100,000Medical, dental, vision401kPaid time offEducation:Juris Doctorate (J.D.) requiredWho We Are:Buffalo Biodiesel Inc. has been in business since 2005.
