Veterinary Technician

New Rochelle Animal Hospital is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. As a Veterinary Technician at our hospital, you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of animals and make a difference in their lives every day. Our hospital provides comprehensive veterinary services including wellness exams, vaccinations, surgery, and dental care for pets.

Daily Responsibilities:

• Assist veterinarians with surgical preparation
• Provide care for small animals
• Monitor anesthesia during procedures
• Implement Fear Free techniques to reduce stress in patients
• Perform preventive care treatments

Required Skills:

• Registered/Certified Veterinary Technician
• Proficient in animal care techniques
• Skilled in IV catheterization and medication administration
• Ability to assist with anesthesia, catheterization, and surgery

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience with discharge planning
• Knowledge of lab procedures
• Background in critical care and triage
• Ability to take X-rays and maintain medical records

Salary and Benefits:

Minimum salary starting at $20.00 per hour, with opportunities for growth and advancement.
