Sprinkler Service Technician

Job Title

Johnson Controls is seeking a skilled professional for a role in thermal management, mission-critical building systems, energy efficiency, and decarbonization. This position involves service and troubleshooting of various fire protection systems, including wet/dry/pre-action systems, fire pumps-based fire sprinkler systems, and backflows.

The ideal candidate will have experience in installation activities, the ability to read and understand complex construction blueprints, and the physical capability to carry equipment and tools weighing up to 60 pounds. The role requires working in unusual and sometimes difficult positions, including climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high lift equipment up to 40 feet or more. Proper safety equipment must be worn as required.

The position includes securing tools and equipment at the end of each work period to prevent damage or loss, and having computer/phone skills including Word, Excel, Outlook, and iPhone apps and functions. Time reports and other documents must be completed and submitted as required. The candidate must bring any changes, discrepancies, and coordination problems to the immediate attention of the dispatcher/supervisor.

Working alternate shifts or weekends to meet customer service on-call requirements is required. Additional duties will be assigned as directed.

The hourly rate for this position ranges from $33 to $43, determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data. This position includes a competitive benefits package.
