Customer Experience Associate

Location Address: 719 Route 522 ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Smiles and greets customers, answers customer questions, and helps resolve customer concerns promptly and professionally. Follows company policies related to customer checkout to increase customer satisfaction. Operates front‑end scanning equipment and cash register. Performs all checkout procedures, including efficient bagging of merchandise and placing items in the customer’s cart. Maintains accuracy during transactions, ensuring the customer is charged for all items and that appropriate funds are collected (cash, checks, electronic payment, coupons). Maintains proper security measures and cash drawer accounting procedures, avoiding overages and shortages. Follows all store and legal guidelines regarding the sale of tobacco and alcohol. Maintains knowledge of weekly ads, marketing promotions, and store layout to answer customer questions. Responsible for general sanitation in the department. Follows cleaning schedules and department guidelines to ensure work areas, equipment, counters, and display cases are clean and meet health and OSHA requirements. Disposes of trash properly. Ensures smooth functioning of the department and store by cooperating with coworkers and supervisors. Continuously improves job performance. Utilizes all company‑provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including cut‑resistant gloves, safety cutters, and company‑sponsored footwear. May be called upon to assist in other departments. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position currently has no supervisory responsibilities. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) or equivalent. No prior experience required.
