Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care for oncology patients in a progressive care/intermediate setting, following individualized care plans.
- Monitor patient status, perform rounds, interpret vitals and laboratory results, identify changes, and escalate as needed.
- Administer prescribed medications and therapies, oversee IV therapy and infusion administration, and monitor for adverse reactions or side effects.
- Collaborate with physicians, charge nurses, and the multidisciplinary team to coordinate care, discharge planning, and symptom management.
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in the electronic medical record; ensure quality and compliance.
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, symptom management, safety, and post-discharge instructions.

Requirements
- Active RN license in Georgia
- Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience in oncology or progressive care/step-down environments
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Certification
- Ability to work a 12-hour night shift (7:00 pm-7:30 am)
- 13-week assignment with guaranteed 36 hours per week
- No local candidates within 50 miles; willingness to travel for assignment
