High School Mathematics Teacher - Mehlville High School Mehlville R‑9 School District – Mehlville High School – St. Louis, Missouri Job Details Starting Date: Aug 1, 2026 Job Description High School Mathematics – 2026-2027 School Year – Requires a valid Missouri teaching certificate in High School Mathematics. Position Summary: To create an educational program and environment favorable to learning and personal growth; establish effective rapport with students; motivate students to develop skills, attitudes and knowledge needed to provide a quality education, in accordance with each student’s ability; establish good relationships with parents and with other staff. Essential Duties Teach district approved curriculum and adhere to adopted Board of Education policies. Establish and maintain effective relationships with students, staff and community. Develop lesson plans and instructional material and provide individualized and small group instruction to adapt the curriculum to the needs of each student. Communicate clearly both verbally and in writing. Learn and implement strategies to instruct students at higher levels of learning. Use technology to enhance instruction. Effectively organize and prioritize work. Establish and maintain standards of student behavior to achieve an effective learning atmosphere. Evaluate students’ academic and social growth, keep appropriate records, and prepare progress reports. Identify student needs and make appropriate referrals, develop strategies for individual education plans. Give and follow written and oral instructions. Work independently. Maintain strict confidentiality. Other duties may be assigned. Job Requirements Bachelor’s degree preferred. Citizenship, residency or work visa required.
