Van Driver

Sunrise Transportation Company is looking to add safe and friendly van drivers to help transport our students to and from school. No experience is needed for this position! We will train and teach you to become a licensed and certified Van Driver! We are not only looking for amazing Drivers who will help us in the mission to move our children forward but want someone who wants to move their career!What we’ll trust you with:Driving a van or large-sized vehicle to transport students safely and in a courteous mannerPicking up and dropping off students using a route sheet or GPS unitPerforming pre-trip/maintenance according to the state’s general standardsCompleting DVIR manual daily and report any defectsOther duties as needed to get the work done successfullyWhat matters most for this role:You have a strong knowledge of the roadways throughout the immediate areaPossess a valid CT driver’s license for 3 continuous years and in good standingAbility to train and pass a company road evaluationAble to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background checkProficient at using or willing to learn how to operate a wheelchair lift or necessary equipmentHave the willingness to work in a diverse organization with many high-pressure situationsYou are a quick learner and have professional written and oral communication skillsWhat we will offer:A flexible schedule including weekends off!Paid Training and IncentivesHealth and Wellness benefits for eligible employees401K planPaid holidays!We encourage an environment that celebrates continuous learning and development.Who we are:Sunrise Transportation has been partnering with school districts for over 30 years to provide best-in-class transportation to students in the Northeast and Midwest, with an emphasis on students with special needs.
