Supplier Note: this is hybrid out of FM, with conversion potential based on budget/candidate fit. Suresh’s looking for an IBM DataPower Engineer (10+ yrs) with strong experience in DataPower admin, secure API/integration design, API security (OAuth2, JWT, WS-Security), GatewayScript/XSLT development, TLS certificate management, and production support/troubleshooting. ideal candidate will be a hands-on SME capable of driving integration standards, performing root cause analysis, and partnering across Application, Security, Infrastructure, and Architecture teams. Experience with WebSphere MQ, automation/CI/CD tools (Terraform, Python, TeamCity, Octopus, GitHub Actions), and monitoring tools such as Dynatrace and SolarWinds are highly preferred! Strong communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills are essential. - credit check not required

DataPower:

1. Minimum 10+ years of experience on DataPower X2/X3 appliances secure integrations.

2. Strong knowledge on DataPower proxy implementations/Design.

3. Provide innovative integration solutions and able to define the common standard frameworks.

4. Strong implementation knowledge on security (OAuth 2.0 / WS-Security / Authentication and Authorization / JWTs) etc.

5. Strong implementation knowledge on DataPower Gateway scripts / XSL Transformations etc.

6. Good amount of knowledge on Protocols / Orchestration / Mediation / Encryption / Description etc.

7. Good knowledge on TLS Certs / Renewal / Coordination with teams to seamlessly upgrade in lower/production environments.

8. Drive through the configurations of each domain/appliances and make sure to work with app teams on API cleanup and should maintain pristine configurations.

9. Deep dive into error handling along with more detailed troubleshooting knowledge of APIs.

10. Debugging skills should be very high in identifying the root causes and documenting production RCAs and Production Tasks.

11. Ability to work with many application teams and educate/guide the organizations secure integration design patterns.

12. Should have good knowledge on DataPower Administration, Appliances Initialization, Setup and Networking.

13. Drive initiatives of the organization's new Data Center DataPower and WMQ builds.

14. Partner with cross functional teams (ex: Security/Infra Architecture/Scale/EA/App Dev and define the best routing patters between/across the multiple Data Centers.

15. Good knowledge on CI/CD Dev Ops automations using (Team City / Octopus / GIT Actions / Terraform / Python).

16. Good knowledge on SOMA/REST management automations on code/config migrations to higher environments.

17. Good knowledge on setting up/Installations of IBM Websphere MQ environments.

18. Setup failover / HA on WMQ environments.

19. Should have setup and operating knowledge on DataPower Ops Dashboard (DPOD).

20. Should have good amount of API debugging skill

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fort Mill, SC.

The pay range for this position is $70.50 - $89.50/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
