Area ManagerJoin your locally owned Great Clips® salon organization in a leadership role that blends hands-on salon management with multi-salon oversight. As an Area Manager, you'll directly manage one salon while also supporting and coaching a team of Salon Managers across a small group of additional locations. This role is ideal for an experienced salon or multi-unit leader who enjoys developing managers, maintaining strong brand standards, and driving consistent performance across teams. We are looking for a technically strong stylist to work and a Lead Product coordinator in our salons and to coach the product coordinators for the salons in their area on how to sell products and conduct inventories. This is a position that will require you to be cutting hair on the cutting floor with the other stylists and leading by example. To succeed as an Area Manager in a Great Clips salon organization, you'll need: Previous salon management experience or multi-unit retail management experience A valid Cosmetology and/or Barber License (requirements vary by state/province) The desire and ability to manage a salon's daily operations while motivating and supporting other Salon Managers Strong leadership, coaching, and communication skills Experience identifying performance gaps and implementing improvement plans Flexibility to work across multiple salon locations within the surrounding area Commitment to collaboration and accountability with a focus on proactively seeking solutions to challenges As the world's largest salon brand, with over 4,400 locally owned and operated salons across the U.S. and Canada, Great Clips combines strong brand recognition, marketing, and support with a close-knit, team-oriented culture.
