Low Voltage Service Technician (Fire & Security) $28–$35/hr | Madison, TN 37115 | Full-Time | Onsite We are seeking an experienced Low Voltage Service Technician to support active commercial Fire Alarm and Security projects throughout the Nashville market. This role is ideal for technicians with strong field experience who are comfortable troubleshooting, servicing, installing, and supporting multiple low‑voltage systems in commercial environments. If you enjoy working independently, solving technical issues in the field, and handling a variety of systems day‑to‑day, this is an excellent opportunity to join a growing team with long‑term project stability. Responsibilities Troubleshoot, service, and maintain Fire Alarm, Access Control, CCTV, Nurse Call, and Intercom systems Assist with programming, startup, commissioning, and testing of newly installed systems Perform point‑to‑point testing and identify wiring, device, or programming issues Read and interpret blueprints, riser diagrams, schematics, and project design documents Support installation activities including device replacement, system upgrades, and retrofit work Communicate professionally with project managers, field supervisors, contractors, and clients regarding project progress and service needs Complete inspections and verify systems are functioning according to manufacturer specifications and applicable code requirements Accurately complete service tickets, inspection reports, and project documentation Respond to service calls, troubleshooting requests, and emergency system issues as needed Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment on job sites Qualifications 3–5 years of commercial low‑voltage, Fire Alarm, or electronic security experience Experience troubleshooting and servicing Fire Alarm and security systems in commercial environments Familiarity with Access Control, CCTV, Intrusion, Nurse Call, or Intercom systems Ability to work independently in the field with minimal supervision Strong understanding of low‑voltage wiring methods and installation practices Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation Knowledge of NFPA standards and code compliance preferred Experience with systems such as Honeywell, Silent Knight, Bosch, Notifier, Lenel, Avigilon, or similar platforms is a plus Strong customer service and communication skills Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required Full‑time, long‑term opportunity Overtime opportunities available Opportunity for career growth and advancement Hands‑on work across multiple systems and technologies We are actively interviewing and looking to hire quickly for multiple openings.
