Field Technician

JOB SUMMARY The field technician will maintain and calibrate the GreenFeed units and assist the post-doc and graduate students with data collection. JOB DUTIES 50% - The filed technician will maintain and calibrate the GreenFeed units and assist the post-doc and graduate students with data collection 25% - Assist with gas emission and pasture sampling led by postdocs and graduate students. 25% - Coordinate, lead, and communicate tasks/results across groups; collect and analyze data; and meet the deadlines as required by the project. JOB CODE ED65 EMPLOYEE TYPE Time-Limited (TLP) Staff MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS A bachelor's degree in a related field similar to the assigned area of research and advanced journey-level work experience in a clinical or research setting. JOB KNOWLEDGE Fundamental working knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures and ability to apply in varied situations. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Not responsible for supervising employees. BUDGETARY RESPONSIBILITIES No fiscal responsibility for the department's budget. ESSENTIAL PERSONNEL LEVEL Normal Operations - Required to follow emergency facility closure and modified operations directives, and not normally expected to work on-site during emergency situations.
