Howmet Fastening Systems is looking for a Director of Operations to provide overall leadership to the fastener installation tooling manufacturing facility located in Kingston, NY.

Specific duties include developing annual revenue and manufacturing plans, providing positive leadership to subordinate managers and employees, ensuring compliance with EHS standards, interfacing directly with key customers, coordinating activities with other departments, continually improving the performance of the Manufacturing organization, participating with Purchasing personnel to develop partnerships with vendors, interacting positively and effectively with personnel both internal and external to the organization, providing technical manufacturing assistance to other components of the organization, analyzing and directing the preparation of Capital Appropriation Requests, directing the activities of assigned human resources, maintaining compliance with Company policies and procedures, and performing other duties as assigned.

Benefits/Salary:

• The annual salary range for this position is $220,000 – $240,000

Qualifications

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Education:

• Minimum of Bachelors' degree from an accredited university; preferred to be in Engineering, Business, Operations or related field.

Basic Qualifications:

• Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment, with five (5) or more years of that time in senior-level leadership roles.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience in customer service or supply chain is preferred.

Basic skills:

• Extensive knowledge and experience with lean manufacturing, preferably in the fastener industry.
• Proven leadership and management skills.
• Thorough knowledge of complex electronic business enterprise systems.
• Ability to work effectively with employees, peers, senior-level leaders, customers and vendor representatives.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and persuasion skills.
• Ability to work independently, prioritizing and completing multiple work assignments in diverse fields with minimal direction.

Preferred Skills:

• Strategic leader with expertise in labor relations, collective bargaining agreement administration, workforce engagement, and change management within union environments.
