Registered Nurse

Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is hiring a Registered Nurse in West Islip, New York! This role is on site / in person. Please read below and apply with an updated resume for consideration:

Type: Six-month contract, opportunity for extension or full time offer

Schedule: 5 days per week: Monday 8:30-5, Tuesday 8:30-5, Wednesday 10-6, Friday 9-5, Saturday 8:30-3:30

Pay: $45.30 to $47.30 an hour

Key Responsibilities of the Registered Nurse:

• Plans, directs and evaluates total nursing care.

• Works alongside and aids medical assistants (MAs) and licensed practical nurses (LPNs)

• Explains procedures and treatments to patients to gain cooperation, understanding, and reduce apprehension.

• Accurately and promptly implements physicians’ orders.

• Maintains the standards of accurate and complete recording and reporting.

• Administers vaccines, prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques.

• Prepares equipment and aids Physician during treatment and examination of patient to promote optimal patient outcomes by team collaboration.

• Observes patient, records significant conditions and reactions, and notifies supervisor or physician of patient's condition and reaction to drugs, treatments, and significant incidents.

• Responds to life saving situations based upon nursing standards, policies, procedures, and protocol while remaining resourceful and calm.

• Initiates a patient education plan according to the individualized needs of the patient, as prescribed by physician and/or policy including patient and family instruction.

Qualifications for the Registered Nurse:

· Associates degree

· Active and good standing RN license in New York

· Provides exceptional service and/or care to all patients, customers and team members

· Maintains awareness of comfort and safety needs of patients

· One year of RN experience

Pay Details: $45.30 to $47.30 per hour
