Overview Memorial Hospital Belleville is an acute care hospital offering medical and surgical services plus critical and emergency care, including children’s at Memorial for pediatric emergency care. It provides patients a full complement of diagnostic and treatment services as well as heart and vascular care. Memorial is an accredited Chest Pain Center with PCI by the Society of Cardiovascular Patient Care and an Acute Stroke Ready Hospital by the Illinois Department of Public Health. Memorial Hospital Shiloh is a 94-bed, all-private suite hospital recognized with Magnet status. It provides emergency care, labor & delivery, nursery, medical and surgical services, and critical care. The Med Surg 5th Floor provides nursing care for adult medical/surgical/telemetry patients and for patients pre and post cardiac catheterizations. Educates patients and families on how to manage illness or injury, including post-treatment home care and medication administration. Participates in activities that promote patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance and in professional development. Develops, implements, and documents individualized plans of care with defined goals in collaboration with the interprofessional team and the patient, family, or caregiver. Uses critical nursing skills to assess and evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs according to standards of care. Assesses patient preferences and barriers to involvement, including values, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and population-specific needs. Maintains state of alertness and safety as required for a safety-sensitive position. Minimum Requirements Education: Nursing Diploma, Associate’s, or equivalent. Experience: No prior experience required. Licenses: Registered Nurse (RN). Preferred Requirements Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing. Experience: Med-Surg and/or Telemetry experience preferred.
