Citrix Systems Engineer

About the role

Seeking a mid-level Citrix Systems Engineer to join our team supporting mission-critical cloud-based geospatial solutions. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong experience in Citrix/NetScaler administration, Windows Server management, and cloud technologies, particularly AWS. This role involves managing virtual desktop infrastructure, troubleshooting complex issues, and ensuring system security and performance in a dynamic environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Manage virtual desktop infrastructure across multiple environments and systems.
• Work directly with government and contractor points of contact to troubleshoot and resolve complex user incidents.
• Proactively recommend configuration changes to improve system performance.
• Deploy security patches and bug fixes to test and operational environments.
• Author and update operational and security documentation, including troubleshooting guides and SOPs.
• Support system sustainment and operation of cloud-deployed geospatial solutions.
• Perform configuration remediation tasks based on security scan results.
• Collaborate with team members using tools like Jira and Confluence.
• Assist with additional tasks as assigned.

Job Requirements

• Active Top Secret Security Clearance with the ability to sit for CI Poly post-hire.
• DOD 8140 Certification (Security+ or equivalent or higher)
• 4+ years of relevant experience with a BS in Information Systems, IT, Computer Science, or related field, or 2+ years with a Master's, or 6 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
• Proven experience with Citrix/NetScaler administration and Windows Server management.
• Experience with AWS architectures and cloud-based system administration.
• Strong knowledge of network administration, including subnetting, VPCs, and firewalls.
• Ability to complete configuration remediation tasks based on security scans.
• Proficient in software integration in service-oriented or virtualized environments.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with government and contractor teams.
• Self-motivated with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
