Wound Care Nurse Practitioner Opportunity

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Wound Care Nurse Practitioner to join our team providing specialized wound care services to patients in nursing home facilities across Central California. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for geriatric care.

Available Positions

• Full-Time Position: 5 days per week (40 hours)
• Part-Time Position: 3 days per week (24 hours)

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive wound assessments and develop treatment plans for nursing home residents
• Perform wound debridement, dressing changes, and other wound care procedures
• Document patient conditions, treatments, and progress according to professional standards
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Educate nursing staff and caregivers on wound prevention and management
• Follow up on patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
• Travel to different nursing home facilities (one facility per day)
• Manage a daily caseload of 20-30 patients

Qualifications

• Current Nurse Practitioner license in California
• Master's degree or higher in Nursing
• At least one year of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner
• Experience in wound care preferred but not required (no wound care certification necessary)
• Excellent assessment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Work Schedule

• 8-hour workdays
• One nursing home facility per day
• Consistent assignment to specific cities to minimize travel variation

Location

• Practice areas include Modesto, Merced, Sonora, and Madera, California
• Practitioners typically serve one geographic area consistently

Compensation & Benefits

Full-Time (W-2):

• Competitive salary range: $170,000 - $190,000 annually

• Daily rate: $750 - $850 per day
