Unleash your talent and redefine what’s possible.Job Description:Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Associate Structural Engineer to join our team!What You'll Be Doing:Perform engineering and design assignments using basic structural engineering principles and fundamental theories learned in a bachelor’s program.Work independently and as part of multidisciplinary teams to complete bridge design tasks and plan development for transportation projects.Prepare or assist in preparing: Basic engineering calculations and analyses, Material quantity takeoffs and cost estimates, Field surveys and design layoutsAssist in the preparation of detailed requisitions for materials, services, and subcontracts.Under guidance of a more senior engineer: Review supplier drawing submittals for technical compliance, Support technical bid evaluations and analysesAssist in the preparation and issuance of: Specifications, Data sheets, other construction and engineering documentsProvide technical input, markups, and coordination guidance to CAD Designers/Drafters working on the same project.Support project documentation, engineering records, and quality processes as required.Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.What Required Skills You'll Bring:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Structural, or related discipline).Typically 0+ years of related civil/structural or general engineering experience (internships or co-ops a plus).Basic knowledge of engineering concepts in civil/structural or related fields.Familiarity with CAD tools and common PC software packages used in engineering (e.g., AutoCAD/MicroStation/Revit, MS Office).Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.What Desired Skills You'll Bring:EIT/FE certification in progress or completed (or ability to obtain).Security Clearance Requirement:NoneThis position is part of our Critical Infrastructure team.For more than 80 years, our experts have designed and delivered the critical infrastructure that connects and protects communities around the world.
