Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Labor and Delivery Discipline: RN Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days, nights Employment Type: Travel RN – Labor & Delivery (L&D) Travel Assignment Join a Level II Trauma and Teaching Hospital providing exceptional maternal and newborn care in a collaborative Labor & Delivery unit. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced L&D nurses who are comfortable caring for high-risk obstetric patients in a fast-paced acute care setting. 13-week and 8-week contracts available Requirements Active California RN License BLS (AHA) ACLS (AHA) NRP Certification AWHONN Fetal Monitoring Certification (or equivalent) Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience Experience caring for high-risk obstetric patients in an acute care Labor & Delivery unit preferred Must be comfortable managing high-risk pregnancies and deliveries Must be willing to work 3–4 weekend shifts every 28-day schedule Meditech experience preferred Responsibilities Assess, monitor, and care for laboring, postpartum, and newborn patients Interpret fetal monitoring and respond appropriately to changes in maternal and fetal condition Administer medications and treatments safely Assist with vaginal deliveries, Cesarean sections, and emergency obstetric procedures Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team Provide patient and family education throughout the labor and delivery process Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation Skills Labor & Delivery Nursing Fetal Heart Monitoring Maternal & Newborn Assessment High-Risk Obstetric Care Emergency Obstetric Response Patient Education Critical Thinking Interdisciplinary Collaboration Meditech (preferred) OBIX Fetal Monitoring (preferred) Apply today for immediate consideration.
