Inside Sales Specialist

Atlanta, GA We’re working with an established international freight forwarding business in Atlanta that is looking to add an Inside Sales Specialist to support its growing commercial team. This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in international freight forwarding, particularly Air Freight, who enjoys prospecting, building relationships and supporting a high-performing sales team. The Role Working closely with the Business Development Managers, you’ll play a key role in generating new business opportunities and supporting the sales process across the Atlanta market. The position will have a primary focus on Air Freight, alongside Ocean, with responsibility for identifying potential customers, qualifying opportunities and helping the BDM team develop new accounts. Key responsibilities include: Research and identify potential new customers across the Atlanta market Prospect into target accounts through phone, email and other outbound activity Identify and qualify new Air & Ocean freight opportunities Support BDMs with lead generation and appointment setting Develop relationships with prospective customers and key contacts Follow up on leads and opportunities generated by the sales team Assist BDMs with customer research, pricing requests, RFQs and proposals Maintain accurate prospect and pipeline information within the CRM Coordinate with internal teams to help move opportunities through the sales process Support the BDM team with customer follow-up and account development Identify opportunities to introduce additional services to existing customers Work toward agreed activity, lead-generation and sales-support targets What We’re Looking For Ideally, you’ll have: 3+ years of experience within international freight forwarding Strong understanding of Air Freight, with Ocean experience preferred Previous experience in inside sales, sales support, business development or a commercial role Comfortable making outbound calls and speaking with prospective customers Strong communication and relationship-building skills A proactive, organised and commercially minded approach Ability to research prospects and identify potential opportunities Strong attention to detail and follow-through Experience working with a CRM A genuine interest in developing a career within freight forwarding sales The Opportunity This is an opportunity to join an established international freight forwarding business and work closely with an experienced Business Development team.
