About the Position

-Manage daily operations of the Central Sterile Processing Department, including decontamination, assembly, sterilization, high-level disinfection, distribution, and inventory management.
-Ensure surgical instruments and supplies are available for scheduled procedures.
-Oversee quality assurance, quality control, and equipment performance.
-Develop preventive maintenance programs and recommend equipment upgrades.
-Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, professional guidelines, and manufacturer instructions.
-Serve as a technical expert in instrument reprocessing, decontamination, and sterilization.
-Develop staff orientation, training programs, and competency assessments.
-Supervise staff, manage schedules, and ensure compliance with safety and performance standards.
-Monitor departmental budgets, labor expenses, inventory, and operational reports.
-Coordinate with physicians, hospital departments, management, and vendors.
-Maintain continuing education and proficiency in sterile processing practices.
-Demonstrate strong communication, teamwork, flexibility, initiative, and customer service skills.

Requirements

-Bachelor’s Degree or a minimum of 10 years of experience.
-Minimum of five (5) years of experience with Sterile Processing Tech Manager scope of responsibility.
-Certifications: CRCST and BLS-AHA
