Location: LaGuardia Airport (LGA), NY
Shift Availability: Candidates must be flexible to work either of the following shifts:
- 6:00 AM 2:00 PM
- 2:00 PM 10:00 PM
Company Overview
Enlightened is seeking professional, customer-focused Social Media Monitor Floaters to support Airport Operations Center (AOC) activities at LaGuardia Airport (LGA). This role plays an important part in ensuring travelers receive accurate, timely, and professional communication regarding airport operations, travel disruptions, weather events, and customer service inquiries through the airport's social media platforms.
This is a fast-paced operational environment ideal for candidates who thrive under pressure, communicate effectively, and enjoy providing real-time support to the traveling public.
What We're Looking For
We are seeking individuals with strong communication and customer service skills who can remain calm, professional, and responsive in a fast-moving airport operations environment. The ideal candidate is adaptable, detail-oriented, comfortable multitasking, and able to provide shift coverage as operational needs arise.
Position Responsibilities
- Provide coverage for scheduled shifts, call-outs, vacations, and operational staffing needs
- Monitor, engage, and respond to customer service-related inquiries through airport social media platforms including X/Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp
- Monitor daily airport incidents and operational events and provide updates to Airport Operations Center stakeholders as needed
- Assist with communicating airport advisories, service disruptions, traffic conditions, delays, closures, and operational updates to the traveling public
- Serve as a social media liaison during airport emergencies and weather-related events
- Coordinate with airport stakeholders and Port Authority Media to ensure messaging aligns with Port Authority standards
- Maintain effective working relationships with Airport Operations Center partners and stakeholders
- Participate in training related to airport operations, airline operations, terminal operations, traffic management, and customer service procedures
Required Qualifications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Professional and customer service-oriented demeanor
- Ability to multitask and adapt to changing schedules and operational needs
- Strong situational awareness and attention to detail
- Ability to remain calm and professional during high-pressure situations and emergencies
- Flexibility to work different shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Additional education in communications, public relations, customer service, or a related field is a plus
Experience
- Experience in customer service, social media engagement, communications, airport operations, or related environments preferred
- Experience working in fast-paced operational or public-facing environments is highly desirable
