About the Role:

The Middle School PE Teacher at Navigator Academy of Leadership, Inc. plays a crucial role in fostering a positive and engaging environment for students to develop their physical fitness and teamwork skills. This position is responsible for designing and implementing a comprehensive physical education curriculum that promotes healthy lifestyles and encourages lifelong fitness habits. The teacher will assess student progress and adapt lessons to meet diverse learning needs, ensuring that all students are included and motivated. Additionally, the PE Teacher will collaborate with other educators and staff to integrate physical education with overall academic goals. Ultimately, the goal is to inspire students to appreciate the value of physical activity and to cultivate a sense of sportsmanship and respect among peers.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Education, Kinesiology, or a related field.
• Valid state teaching certification in Physical Education for middle school.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience teaching physical education at the middle school level.
• First Aid and CPR certification.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with state standards for physical education.
• Conduct assessments to evaluate student performance and provide feedback to support their growth.
• Create a safe and inclusive environment for all students to participate in physical activities.
• Organize and supervise extracurricular sports and fitness programs to enhance student engagement.
