Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, active Social Worker license and minimum 1+ years School Social Work experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Make a meaningful difference in the lives of students by providing essential social work services in a dynamic K-12 special education environment. This contract opportunity offers the chance to support students near Rochester, MI, during both the Extended School Year (ESY) from June 30, 2026, to August 6, 2026 (up to 25 hours per week), and the New School Year (NSY) from August 17, 2026, to June 11, 2027 (up to 35 hours per week). This is an onsite-only position within a dedicated special education district.

Qualifications:

• Active Michigan School Social Worker certification (310) required; please submit a copy with your application
• Experience working as a school social worker with K-12 students, preferably in a special education setting
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to manage a diverse caseload, develop individualized support plans, and collaborate with educational staff
• If not certified, appropriate supervision must be arranged prior to interviewing

Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct social work services and interventions to K-12 students to support their emotional and educational success
• Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and administrators to address academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs
• Conduct assessments, develop and implement IEPs, and maintain timely documentation of student progress
• Participate in meetings with families, educators, and outside agencies to coordinate care and resources for students
• Serve as an advocate for students and families to ensure access to needed support and services
