Cost Accounting Manager

Salary: $115,000 - $150,000 per year Role Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Cost Accounting Manager to lead our cost accounting function within a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for overseeing inventory valuation, standard costing, and financial analysis to support operational decision-making. The ideal candidate will be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with strong manufacturing experience and a deep understanding of cost structures and process improvement. Key Responsibilities Lead all aspects of cost accounting, including standard costing, variance analysis, and cost control initiatives Analyze manufacturing variances (material, labor, and overhead) and provide actionable insights to operations leadership Oversee inventory accounting, including raw materials, work‑in‑progress (WIP), and finished goods Ensure accurate and timely month‑end close for cost‑related accounts, including journal entries and reconciliations Maintain and improve standard costing systems in compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) Partner with plant operations to develop budgets, forecasts, and cost‑reduction strategies Support internal and external audits by ensuring proper documentation and internal controls Identify opportunities for process improvements and drive efficiency across manufacturing and accounting functions Collaborate cross‑functionally with supply chain, procurement, and production teams #J-18808-Ljbffr CPS, Inc.
