We live by the certainty that every individual at SSF makes a unique and important contribution to our success.Position OverviewThis position will be responsible for providing outstanding customer service by organizing the receiving, storing and sending out of goods. The Warehouse Manager provides support and training to warehouse staff while focusing on safety, effectiveness, accuracy, and communication.Essential Job FunctionsResponsible for organizing and prioritizing the daily workflow of the departments to ensure work is completed and no department falls behindResponsible for making sure all personnel are trained in current policy and procedures for the job, ensuring that staff is cross-trainedAdministrative functions such as daily staff meetings, update ADP, approve PTO, employee counseling sessions, interview and hire staff, and coordinate with HRSafety functions such as ensuring warehouse equipment are working properly, walking the warehouse for any safety issues, hold monthly and quarterly safety meetingsReview monthly reports for your warehouse performance and to identify problem areasEnsure that operations are running at peak capacity and fully responsible for all inventorySpecial projects as neededRequirementsFully understand all warehouse procedures and policiesKeep VP Operations and Operations Manager informed of staff performance and statusSupervise staff and work consistently with SSF Employee Handbook, guidelines, policies and proceduresMaintain a professional attitude with all SSF employees, customers, vendors and visitorsSet a good example for the teamDemonstrated ability to effectively lead diverse teamsBe certified to drive forkliftHave a valid Driver's License, with clean driving record, insurable by SSF under company policyPhysical DemandsPhysical ability to lift up to 50 poundsRepetitive use of hands and armsOther Skills/AbilitiesProficient in use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and AS400Ability to prioritize, attention to detailGood oral and written communication skillsExcellent interpersonal, supervisory, motivation and team building skillsEducation RequiredCollege degree or equivalent work experienceBenefitsUp to 19 days of accrued paid time off annually8 paid holidays.401(k) match up to 4%.Medical/Dental/Vision insurance available starting 1st of month after employment begins.Flexible medical spending account.Employee Assistance Program.Employer Paid Basic Life Insurance and AD&D.As an equal opportunity employer, we value diversity in thought, experience and cultural backgrounds.
