Pre-Litigation Attorney

Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Pre-Litigation Attorney to lead and manage a team of Case Managers and Assistant Case Managers in a high-volume pre-litigation environment (likely personal injury or insurance-related practice). This is a full-time, in-person role based in our office. The ideal candidate will combine strong legal acumen in pre-litigation with proven people‑leadership skills to drive case outcomes, mentor the team, and maintain high standards of efficiency and client service. Must-Have Qualifications Bar Admission: Active license to practice law in California. Experience: 4+ years of hands‑on pre‑litigation experience (demand letters, settlement negotiations, discovery, insurance carrier dealings, etc.). Core Skills: Strong negotiation and settlement skills with a proven track record of achieving favorable resolutions pre‑suit. Excellent leadership and team development abilities; able to train, motivate, and hold Case Managers/Assistant Case Managers accountable. Superior written and verbal communication skills (clear, professional demand packages and client updates). High-level organization and case management; able to oversee a high-volume docket while ensuring team compliance with deadlines and best practices. Work Style: In‑office presence required (not remote/hybrid). Reliable, proactive, and able to thrive in a fast‑paced, team-oriented environment. Priorities for Top Candidates Experience managing pre‑litigation in plaintiff‑side personal injury (auto, premises, slip‑and‑fall, etc.). Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop junior staff, with measurable improvements in team performance/metrics. Familiarity with case management software (e.g., Filevine). Track record of handling complex or high-value cases pre‑litigation. Prior experience transitioning cases to litigation counsel when necessary.
