Position Overview

As a Pediatric Physical Therapist at Suncrest Physical Therapy, you will play a critical role in enhancing the physical health and functional abilities of children in our Home Care setting. Your expertise will allow you to evaluate, design, and implement tailored therapy plans that address individual needs, ensuring each child reaches their fullest potential. This is a full-time opportunity based in Wells, Nevada, with a structured schedule from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM.

Work Environment

The position is primarily based in home care settings, where you will conduct therapy sessions in a child's home environment. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough assessments of each pediatric patient, utilizing age-appropriate testing and observational techniques to identify physical impairments.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that focus on enhancing motor skills, strength, balance, and flexibility through engaging therapeutic interventions.
  • Collaborate with families, educators, and healthcare providers to communicate progress and adjust treatment approaches as needed, ensuring optimal outcomes.
  • Provide guidance to families on home-based exercises and activities that support therapy goals and foster independence.
  • Document patient progress meticulously, adjusting treatment plans based on evolving needs and continuous assessment.
  • Stay informed about advancements in pediatric therapy by participating in ongoing professional development and training opportunities.
  • Engage in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care strategies, share insights, and contribute to holistic care solutions.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on children ranging from infants to teenagers facing a variety of physical challenges. This may include conditions resulting from musculoskeletal, neurological, and developmental disorders. You will be instrumental in guiding these children towards achieving critical developmental milestones, ensuring that they receive the care and support necessary for thriving in various aspects of life.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
  • Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the State of Nevada.
  • A strong foundation in pediatric physical therapy practices.
  • Exceptional communication skills to effectively convey complex information in an understandable manner for families.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team while also promoting autonomy in therapy settings.
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification.

Preferred Experience

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in pediatric physical therapy is strongly preferred, though recent graduates with a passion for this focus area will also be considered.
  • Prior experience in a home care or outpatient setting is highly advantageous.
  • A demonstrated passion for working with children and facilitating their developmental progress.

Compensation and Benefits
