Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1130-$1210
• Setting: Hospital central receiving and processing lab
• Location: Philadelphia, PA 19104
• Start Date: 7/27/2026
• Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
• Hours: 40 hours per week
• Duration: 13-week contract
• Work Arrangement: On-site

Job Requirements

• 2+ years of Lab Assistant experience required
• Experience working in a hospital, clinical laboratory, or medical laboratory setting preferred
• Strong specimen receiving, accessioning, handling, and processing skills
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in a high-volume environment
• Ability to work collaboratively with laboratory and clinical staff
• Strong communication, organizational, and data entry skills

Responsibilities

• Receive, accession, and process laboratory specimens accurately and efficiently
• Support daily operations within the hospital central receiving and processing lab
• Ensure proper labeling, handling, and routing of specimens according to established protocols
• Maintain accurate documentation and data entry related to specimen processing
• Communicate effectively with laboratory personnel regarding specimen status, delays, or issues
• Follow hospital and laboratory policies for safety, quality, and compliance
• Assist in maintaining an organized, efficient, and patient-focused clinical lab environment
