VIVIFY is a fast-growing technology company in the clean energy space, and we're looking for a Finance & Research Analyst to help leadership understand where the energy market is heading, build the models behind our biggest customer opportunities, and support corporate finance as we scale.

This is not a back-office reporting role. We're looking for someone with a banking background covering the energy sector who understands how power is generated, bought, and paid for, and who can turn that knowledge into models and presentations that hold up in front of governments, data center operators, and industrial customers.

What You'll Do

Market & Competitive Research

• Track the energy market continuously, including pricing, policy, incentives, grid and interconnection constraints, and capital flows, and brief leadership on what's changing and why it matters

• Build and maintain competitive intelligence on clean tech providers and conventional alternatives, including diesel generators, natural gas, nuclear and SMRs, fuel cells, solar, and battery storage

• Benchmark competing technologies on levelized cost of energy, capex, operating and fuel costs, uptime, and emissions

• Size target markets and identify priority customer segments, including data centers, government and defense, and industrial operators

• Monitor competitor funding rounds, contract awards, partnerships, and deployments

• Write concise research memos and market updates for the executive team

Modeling & Customer Presentations

• Build customer-specific economic models comparing VIVIFY's platforms against a customer's current or alternative power source, including total cost of ownership, payback, IRR, and NPV

• Develop pricing, deal structure, and financing scenarios, including purchase, lease, and power-as-a-service structures

• Prepare presentation decks and briefing materials for meetings with government agencies, data center operators, and other strategic customers

• Attend customer meetings as needed to support leadership on the financial case

• Support RFP, grant, and government procurement responses with financial analysis

Corporate FP&A

• Build and maintain the company operating model, annual budget, and rolling forecasts

• Prepare monthly budget-vs-actual reporting and variance analysis

• Model cash flow, capital requirements, and headcount plans

• Support board, investor, and lender materials

Accounting Support

• Assist with month-end close, account reconciliations, and journal entry preparation as needed

• Prepare schedules and respond to requests from outside accountants and auditors

Qualifications

• 2–7 years of experience in investment banking, corporate banking, or project finance with direct coverage of the energy, power, or infrastructure sector required

• Deep working knowledge of power generation technologies and economics, both conventional and renewable, and of how commercial, industrial, and government customers buy power

• Advanced financial modeling in Excel, including three-statement, project finance, DCF, and scenario and sensitivity analysis

• Strong PowerPoint skills and the ability to build client-ready presentations from scratch

• Proven research skills: finding primary sources, synthesizing data, and drawing clear, defensible conclusions

• Working knowledge of FP&A, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis

• Solid understanding of GAAP accounting fundamentals

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex economics to non-financial audiences

• Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, accounting, engineering, or a related field required

• Experience with data centers, government or defense energy procurement, or behind-the-meter power preferred

• Familiarity with energy data sources such as EIA, Lazard LCOE, BloombergNEF, S&P Capital IQ, or PitchBook preferred

• MBA, CFA progress, or energy-specific credentials preferred

• Self-directed and comfortable operating without a large team or rigid structure

• Rigorous with the numbers and willing to challenge assumptions, including ours

• Confident presenting to senior customers and government officials

• Flexible enough to move between research, customer modeling, FP&A, and accounting as priorities shift

• Fast, accurate, and detail-oriented under deadlines

• Energized by a fast-paced, high-growth company

Most importantly, you know energy, and you can prove it with a model.

You need to be the person who can walk into a meeting with a data center operator or a government agency and make the financial case clearly and credibly.

Compensation & Benefits

• $95,000–$150,000 base salary, commensurate with experience

• Performance-based bonus eligibility
