Overview Day–08 Hour (United States of America) The Stanford Outpatient Imaging Centers house state‑of‑the‑art MRI (1.5T and 3T), Digital Mammography with Tomosynthesis, Ultrasound, and Bone Density equipment, serving patients across the United States. Responsibilities Perform screening and diagnostic mammography procedures in compliance with regulatory mandates and institutional protocols. Assist radiologists with core, fine‑needle aspirate (FNA), and localization procedures. Execute quality control and quality assurance activities on digital mammography equipment. Prepare and manage patient questionnaires, education materials, and paperwork. Capture and archive images using PACS, including transferring images to physicians’ reading stations. Coordinate ancillary tasks such as obtaining external imaging, faxing consent forms, and handling abnormal results. Position patients and calculate exposure factors, employing immobilization devices as needed. Maintain and troubleshoot digital mammography equipment and request service as required. Document and charge procedures and supplies in the Radiology Information System. Qualifications Minimum of one (1) year of progressively responsible, directly related mammography experience. Ability to bill complex procedures and supplies accurately and in a timely manner. Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to establish relationships at all levels. Capability to follow written and oral instructions and adapt to evolving protocols. Proficiency in positioning patients for standard and non‑routine mammography views. Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pathology relevant to ultrasound diagnostics. Knowledge of imaging systems, PACS workflows, and image processing techniques. Understanding of radiographic and fluoroscopic techniques, safety principles, and ultrasound equipment procedures. Required licenses and certifications: CRT or MAM (Mammography) and BLS (Basic Life Support). Compensation & Benefits Highly competitive hourly rate, generally starting at $74.80–$84.22 per hour.
