Job Description AUSAs in the Criminal Division improve the quality of life for all Massachusetts residents by prosecuting crimes that include terrorism, violent crimes, narcotics trafficking, fraud and other white-collar offenses, civil rights offenses, human trafficking, political corruption, organized crime and an array of other federal criminal offenses. Qualifications Required Qualifications: Applicants must possess a J.D. Degree, be an active member of the bar in good standing (in any U.S. jurisdiction), and have at least 3 years post-J.D. legal or other relevant experience. Preferred Qualifications: Five years of experience practicing criminal law and/or civil litigation, superior academic credentials, and a demonstrated interest in public service. Salary Information : Assistant United States Attorney's pay is administratively determined based, in part, on the number of years of professional attorney experience.
