Position: Special Education Teacher Assistant

Position Overview:
As a Special Education Teacher Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special needs, ensuring their success in the classroom and beyond. Working closely with the lead special education teacher, you will provide individualized assistance, implement personalized learning plans, and foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct support to students in both one-on-one and small group settings, assisting with academic tasks, social skills development, and behavioral management.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel supported and valued.
- Assist in the creation and adaptation of instructional materials to accommodate various learning styles and abilities.
- Monitor student progress and communicate regularly with the lead teacher, parents, and other members of the multidisciplinary team.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in education or related field preferred.
- Prior experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs, preferably in an educational setting.
- Knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to make a positive difference in the lives of students with special needs.
