JOB OVERVIEW Job Id: 104442 Profession: Physician Specialty: Gastroenterology Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Maywood, IL Service Setting: IP/OP Coverage Type: Clinical + Call Coverage Period: ASAP – Ongoing Shift Schedule: Mon – Fri, 7a – 5pm Call Schedule: Nights: 5p-7a; Mon-Fri Weekends: 24-hr Call Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered PATIENT INFORMATION Average Daily Volume: 12-15 Case Mix: Gastroenterology FACILITY INFORMATION EMR System: EPIC Specialty Backup Available: Yes, GI group of 13 physicians PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Hospital Privileges Required: Yes Credentialing Timeline: 3 months REQUIRED PROCEDURES EGD, Small Bowel Biopsy, Lower GI Endoscopy, Sigmoidoscopy, Colonoscopy, Capsule Deployment, Esophageal dilation JOB REQUIREMENTS Board: BC Licenses: IL DEA: Active & CSR Duties & Responsibilities Perform GI procedures including EGD, colonoscopy, small bowel biopsy, etc. Provide inpatient and outpatient GI consultations. Manage GI patients in hospital setting, averaging 12-15 procedures per day. Participate in call schedule covering nights and weekends. Collaborate with a team of 13 GI physicians.
